Writing good blog posts…
Forget about writing good blog posts, how about about just consistently posting? Why is blogging so hard?
As you may have noticed, if you are inquisitive, my last post was from Sept, 09 YES ! that’s over 5 months ago. It’s not like my computer doesn’t work or my internet got disconnected, it’s just hard to blog. It’s hard to do many things if you think about it. We have so much to do and it seems so little “will power” to get all those things done. It seems “other things” keep coming up or saying “I’ll do it later” is easier to deal with than actually taking the time and effort to write out a few paragraphs.
The truth is writing, working out, eating well, or anything that takes more effort than sitting in front of the TV with a bag of chips is difficult. Then there is the “what’s in it for me?” syndrome. For me I think I have a bit of trying to be perfect or some writing anxiety, the thought of being judged by the world. So in order to consistently post I am now putting aside any public writing anxiety, trying to be perfect, I will be not so hard on myself and will blog earlier in the day.
So how am I going to blog more regularly?
Here are some of the ideas that I’m implementing :
- Write posts first thing in the morning before getting lost in email quicksand, reading news, and before doing other “work”.
- Create a routine or some sort of success ritual that almost guarantees that I will get the post done.
- Don’t be a perfectionist, it’s hard enough to make a blog post as it is.
- Aim for about 300 words per post.
So now that I have some techniques figured out, what am I going to blog about?
I could really blog about anything but for this blog to be useful for me and for you I thought that the content I share should be of value. So I will try to keep to subjects that I have some understanding and experience with. Those topics include but are not limited to some of the following topics: Nutrition, Tea, Health, Internet Marketing, Making Money Online, Stress Reduction, Increasing Productivity, Becoming Job Independent, Travel, Lifestyle Design, Music and some other topics. If I think it’s something worth sharing, meaning you will get something out of it when you read it…I will share it here.
I recommend that you download my free report about living the perfect day. I really think it provides a huge value and will give you a peak into how I do things around here. Since this is my first post in a long time, I am considering this my first post, if you are reading this and have feedback, comments, questions, or concerns feel free to comment below look forward to sharing ideas and getting to interact with you.
